Data Entry From Home

Would you like to learn how to become a data entry operator and work from home? Do you have typing skills going to waste in a dead end job? Do you dream of freeing yourself from the shackles of the daily grind? Are you working to your full potential and earning the salary you deserve? Have you read the data entry job ads on the internet and thought you have what it takes to succeed in that field? Were you hoping to find an extensive guide, outlining the steps you need to take to turn your dream of working from home into a reality? Are you sick to death of searching for specific vocational information, only to be disappointed at every turn?

If you answered in the affirmative to any of the above questions, I’m afraid I can’t help you. I am a data entry clerk working from home in Australia. The data I enter is usually plucked from my imagination in spontaneous bursts as I sit in front of my computer with my hands poised over my keyboard. I enjoy typing, so writing the content for this website gives me the perfect outlet to practice my hobby and earn some money along the way. There are many forms of data entry but my favourite is writing articles or blog posts. I type several articles a day and publish them on my network of websites all over the internet.

I am what is commonly referred to as a career data entry clerk, insofar as I am employed by myself to type in a secure and rewarding job. I would describe myself as a good boss who has learned to manage his employees efficiently and effectively. That’s pretty easy given that I’m the only worker employed in my little enterprise. When friends ask me to describe my occupation I usually tell them that I spend my time typing from home in exchange for payment in the form of cash in the bank. Being a data entry operator is one of the best professions in the world and I am glad I decided to follow this career path.

I’m loathe to give advice to anyone seeking information on how to establish their own home-based data entry business. I wouldn’t be able to forgive myself if someone followed my instructions and failed to succeed as a typist working from home. There is a sequence of tasks that anyone should follow to be successful in their chosen field but each individual needs to work that out for themselves. I practice typing every day because I know that in order to make more money I need to enter more data. The faster I can type and the more accurate I can be, the better data entry clerk I will become and the richer I will be!

The main focus of my data entry business is writing articles for the blog on this website. To read my daily account of life as a typist who works from home, simply follow the link on this page. My mum was a clerk and I remember the rare occasions where I was allowed to go to work with her and play with all of the marvellous stationary and administrative tools. I especially loved mucking around with the typewriters. The only part I didn’t like was getting up while it was still dark and driving for over half an hour to the office. I guess it shouldn’t surprise me that I ended up being a data entry clerk working from home. My mother would’ve been very proud (I think!).

Posting to my data entry blog every day takes a lot of discipline and some research. This is the best job I’ve had so far without doubt. I get up at six o’clock in the morning and go for a five kilometre walk. I have a shower and eat cereal for breakfast. It’s time to go to work! I switch on my computer and check my website statistics on the internet with Google Analytics and monitor my important search results on Google and Yahoo. Then the data entry begins. I type my article and spell-check it. I upload it to my blog and make sure it looks alright online. I type content for other sites for the next few hours before taking a break for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. It looks as if THERE IS rest for the wicked after all!

I would recommend anyone who has a hobby they can turn into a career, to do so. Being involved in an occupation you enjoy doing can be very invigorating and have a positive impact on all facets of life. I chose to be a home-based data entry clerk because typing has been something I’ve enjoyed doing for many years. Making the decision to let that evolve into fulltime employment was the smartest thing I’ve done so far. Whatever your interests are, you should investigate the possibility of earning a living from them. Imagine being proud of the profession you were undertaking instead of dreading being asked what you do for a living. I take pleasure in knowing I am the only data entry clerk working from home on my street.

My goal is to inspire other people to work from home. I’m not going to take anyone by the hand and show them how to be successful in their own data entry business, that’s up to them to figure out. Just knowing that someone else has actually been able to turn their typing hobby into a fully fledged home-based employment opportunity should be enough. Making good career choices is essential but not easy by any stretch of the imagination. It has taken me over twenty five years to realise what I want to do as a long term job, and now that I feel secure with my employment situation I feel like telling the whole world about it.
