If you’re going to work from home it’s very important to make sure you work from home professionally. I hate it when people accuse me of being unprofessional. That’s because I use this forum to promote my data entry job and complain about not making enough money at the same time. Some individuals, who shall remain nameless, believe that I am unable to take it even though I seem to be quite adept at dishing it out. They’re probably right. I wonder how many of them have the courage and determination to make it as a data entry operator in Australia. Probably none!

A lot of people are searching for a legitimate self employment situation but only a handful of lucky individuals will ever go on to find the online job of their dreams. I made my own luck when I developed my own career out of nothing. I publish my own ideas and thoughts on this blog and call it a data entry job. How convenient! Anyway, that’s what I do. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. If you want something done right you’d best do it yourself. That has been my motto ever since I decided to work from home as a data entry operator.

It’s hard to avoid being stressed when your job is not secure. My casual data entry job is great but could terminate at any time without explanation or warning. My success is based on maintaining a certain level of traffic to my websites and blogs. Search results are out of my hand so I have no control over how many people get to read my articles. It’s hard to sustain any sort of happiness when you’re not sure when the money is going to dry up. Does casual employment kill? Not directly but over a long period of time…..probably.

If you’re happy to just scrape by, paying your rent every fortnight and having enough left over for groceries, then my casual approach works. If you want to be a millionaire you’re not going to do it by following my lead. I’d like to earn more money but I’m too laid back. In order to accumulate wealth I’d have to enter a lot more data than I’m willing to enter. My casual data entry job is boring. When I reach the point where I believe I’ve made enough money I have to stop. After all, you’re only as good as the last batch of data you entered, aren’t you?

I’ve been making money by working since I completed my last HSC exam in November 1986. Two days after putting my pen down I was driving a forklift in Bankstown. I hated the job but appreciated the pay packet every Friday. It has taken me a long time to reach my potential but, thanks to my data entry position, I believe I can continue to grow and eventually prosper. I’ve still got a long way to go but I’m quietly confident of being successful and building a secure work environment for myself. Only time will tell!

I’m ready to see my balance rise. I’ve been entering data like a man on a mission and now I want to eat the fruits of my labour. Working from home is like playing at work, you have to be careful not to get caught. I want to start earning more money. If I don’t, it’s hard to imagine my effort has been worth it. I’m not about to give up though. I’m in it for the long haul. I just wish the amount of money I was making was more in proportion with the amount of data I’ve been entering. Then again, it probably is!
