When I was looking for a home based data entry position I read one confusing job description after another. Employers seem to make things as complicated as possible, targeting the perfect employee when advertising jobs. They want motivated people who are willing to work for nothing, or people who show loyalty but don’t expect any in return. I’m quite happy being my own boss, thank you very much! Why anyone would want to go to a job interview and be judged by someone who has no right to judge is beyond me.

I’ve been making money by working since I completed my last HSC exam in November 1986. Two days after putting my pen down I was driving a forklift in Bankstown. I hated the job but appreciated the pay packet every Friday. It has taken me a long time to reach my potential but, thanks to my data entry position, I believe I can continue to grow and eventually prosper. I’ve still got a long way to go but I’m quietly confident of being successful and building a secure work environment for myself. Only time will tell!

One of the most important things to remember, when attempting to start a home based career, is also one of the hardest things to do. You have to stay positive! Watching your income fluctuate daily can be like observing the growth of grass and that can be hazardous to your health. Don’t aim too high but never be satisfied with the level you’re at. Today I will sit in front of my computer and enter data until I’m blue in the face, and at the end of the day I will be happy with what I’ve achieved.
