They are set tasks which they must complete within certain time frames and the data they need to enter is usually supplied. I couldn’t find a company to supply me with data so I just started making it up. Before too long I realised that I was a self proclaimed data entry operator and the world was my oyster. My blog posts have been described as irreverent, irrelevant, funny, weird and stupid. You can’t please all of the people all of the time!

Australia is home to one of the most handsome data entry operators in the world…..me, but that’s old news. I play guitar and I find that typing regularly helps to improve my dexterity and hand eye coordination. The skills you use when working can invariably crossover to other aspects of your life. I could never work in a job that didn’t have some sort of positive impact on my life in some shape or form. If entering data in Australia has taught me anything, it has taught me to be patient and to keep my eyes on the prize.

I was up until three in the morning typing articles and blog posts. I don’t know how anyone could work the night shift for an extended period. I’d go insane. I think evening jobs wreck workers. No one can function properly if they exert energy while they’re supposed to be asleep. I was stupid to stay up so late last night but I think you would find a lot of data entry operators who work from home keep varied and unusual hours. The quality of the data you enter begins to wane once you’ve pushed yourself to work beyond the normal working hours.

I have a lot of respect for shift workers but I think they’re all crazy on so many levels. Day time is for employment and night time is for partying. If you work from home you can also party during the day as long as you complete all of the tasks you’ve set yourself. I don’t know many data entry operators who spend much time attending parties. They’re all nerds, geeks and dorks. That could be a bit of an over generalisation but you get the picture, don’t you? It’s almost 5:30 in the afternoon and I’m ready for bed.
