If you want to be a millionaire you’re not going to do it by following my lead. I’d like to earn more money but I’m too laid back. In order to accumulate wealth I’d have to enter a lot more data than I’m willing to enter. My casual data entry job is boring. When I reach the point where I believe I’ve made enough money I have to stop. After all, you’re only as good as the last batch of data you entered, aren’t you?

One day I’d like to travel around Australia, entering data as I go. People would point at my brightly coloured van and say something about how cool I look. I would stop every so often and type a blog post on my laptop computer and publish it next time I had access to the internet. Would I be Australia’s first mobile data entry operator? I don’t know and to tell you the truth, I don’t care. My main concern at the moment is being able to pay for life’s necessities like rent and chocolate.

One of the most important things to remember, when attempting to start a home based career, is also one of the hardest things to do. You have to stay positive! Watching your income fluctuate daily can be like observing the growth of grass and that can be hazardous to your health. Don’t aim too high but never be satisfied with the level you’re at. Today I will sit in front of my computer and enter data until I’m blue in the face, and at the end of the day I will be happy with what I’ve achieved.

I will admit it wasn’t easy getting out of bed this morning. I live in a small town on the mid north coast of New South Wales, on Australia’s east coast and it is almost halfway through winter. The thing that helped me get out of bed was the fact that I believe in the work I’m doing and I am positive that it will make a difference to my lifestyle sooner than later. My data entry career will eventually earn me enough money to buy my own house and live comfortably for the rest of my life. How positive was that?
