I know it’s not fashionable but I’ve been thinking about heading south for the summer. Are there any typing jobs in Melbourne? It gets too hot in the little town I live in and the house I rent has no insulation. The good thing about working from home is that it doesn’t matter where my home is as long as I base my job there. So I could move to Melbourne if I wanted to and make money by typing my blog posts every day. I hate moving though. It’s so complicated. The life of a data entry operator wasn’t supposed to be this hard.

A lot of people take their jobs very seriously, don’t they? They swear their allegiance to the company, don’t take sickies and have to be cajoled into taking their holidays. I’m not one of them. When I’m employed by someone else I tend to run out of sickies pretty quickly and end up having to take unpaid leave. Give me death or data entry? I don’t think so. Life’s too short to worry too much about your career. The hours I commit to my occupation should be flexible so that’s why I choose to work from home. I think most data entry operators like it that way.

I can’t believe it’s November already. I’ve been writing these articles for over three months now so I guess that makes me a pretty prolific data entry operator. Whenever I venture outside and see the afternoon traffic heading into the sun, I feel so glad that I work from home. Australia is full of people performing data entry from home but no one is working with the same level of commitment as me. That’s probably not true but you know what I mean, don’t you? I’d rather work from home than sit in bumper to bumper gridlock with sunshine belting down through my windscreen.

If you’re happy to just scrape by, paying your rent every fortnight and having enough left over for groceries, then my casual approach works. If you want to be a millionaire you’re not going to do it by following my lead. I’d like to earn more money but I’m too laid back. In order to accumulate wealth I’d have to enter a lot more data than I’m willing to enter. My casual data entry job is boring. When I reach the point where I believe I’ve made enough money I have to stop. After all, you’re only as good as the last batch of data you entered, aren’t you?

Working at night makes earning a living even harder than it needs to be. Is it possible to make evening jobs look interesting or is that just a futile exercise in itself? I used to enter data in the morning, just after I got back from my walk but I haven’t been walking lately so my schedule has been thrown right off kilter. If I’m to keep my reputation for being one of Australia’s leading data entry operators in tact, I must address this situation immediately and turn it around so it’s facing the right way.

Being a blogger is definitely a legitimate profession, isn’t it? Everday for the last 112 days I’ve written an article and published it on this blog. That’s a lot of data entry being performed by one man. I’ve made a commitment to my countless fans that I will provide one riveting expose daily, and I intend to keep my word, no matter how tedious an exercise it is. The fact that I do data entry work from home should be enough to inspire any up and coming young typist to give it a go. What have they got to lose apart from their dignity and self respect?

One of the most important things to remember, when attempting to start a home based career, is also one of the hardest things to do. You have to stay positive! Watching your income fluctuate daily can be like observing the growth of grass and that can be hazardous to your health. Don’t aim too high but never be satisfied with the level you’re at. Today I will sit in front of my computer and enter data until I’m blue in the face, and at the end of the day I will be happy with what I’ve achieved.
