There is only one reason why anyone gets a job and that is to earn money. Different people have different ideas as to what is the perfect position for them, but no one working today is doing it for fun or spiritual enlightenment. I work from home as a data entry operator and, to be honest, I hate every second of it. Don’t get me wrong, I know I could have it a lot worse than I do. As I’ve mentioned before, I make up all of the data that I enter so at least I’m exercising my brain and imagination while I’m hard at work.

I’ve never heard a data entry operator describe his or her job as being exciting. I’ve never heard anyone say they’d rather be at work than go to the football or church. Just because I type as fast as a springbok leaps doesn’t mean I want to spend all of my available time typing. It is spring time in Australia and I’ll be damned if I’m going to remain cramped up in this dusty office entering data like a madman. It’s important to find that perfect balance between working too hard and not working at all, if you ever want to succeed in your own home business.
