Self Employment Opportunity
By Leonard Skinthorpe Jr | July 25, 2008
I can’t believe its Friday again already. Working from home can blur the transparent lines between weekday and weekend sometimes, but I’m happy that I decided to embrace this self employment opportunity with both hands. I do, however, find myself trying to justify calling myself a data entry operator when all I really do is type for this diary. I think the most important thing for me to remember is….everyone has a right to some sort of passive income at some time or other in their life, and this is mine.
I’ve been touch typing for about two years now and I don’t think my speed or accuracy has improved at all in that time. Being a data entry clerk who spends all of his time working from home is a lot to live up to. People stop me on the street and ask me how much data I’ve entered recently or will I stop typing and embrace voice recognition software. I don’t know what to tell them sometimes. Sometimes I just don’t want to get out of bed, and with my laptop handy….I don’t have to!
