I usually try and focus on the job at hand, and work to the best of my abilities. Lately I’ve had to shift my gaze beyond that and really think about making more money. I’ve been careful to plan my ascent very carefully and now that I have been officially recognised as Australia’s premier data entry operator (by me) I can start to think about getting that pay rise I need. That shouldn’t be too hard seeing as I am my own boss. I still have to make sure that I perform to my full potential and enter all the data I can in an effort to impress myself.
There was a time towards the end of last year where I was contemplating giving myself a promotion, but that all fell through when my performance waned and my attitude let me down. I think I have improved a lot since then, culminating in my recent imaginary award for services in the field of data entry work. It looks as if I will get that pay rise after all (hooray!). I mustn’t get complacent though. It’s more important now than ever that I start entering data like man possessed. I just hope I finish typing in time to watch England play Papua New Guinea in the Rugby League World Cup tonight!
