I was so naïve when I first decided I wanted to work from home I thought I’d be able to do a Google search, find a legitimate online job site and have a free data entry kit mailed to my door. I was such a fool. It takes a lot more than just impressive typing skills to get an internet based position these days. You have to be adept at sorting through scams and other shady material in order to find your pot of gold at the end of the proverbial vocational rainbow. Data entry operators aren’t usually perceived as being the sharpest tools in the shed so avoiding heartache doesn’t necessarily come naturally to them.

Someone who types information into computers all day couldn’t possibly be very creative, or could they? The data I enter into my daily blog posts is all conjured up in the dark recesses of my imagination. Without creativity I would be unable to be Australia’s most handsome data entry operator. I was determined to work from home and nothing was going to stop me, especially not the fact that I couldn’t find any data to enter. I never found that free kit I was looking for and I never got step by step advice on how to obtain an online job. I just did it!
