If I was ever thinking about hiring an apprentice in my data entry enterprise, I would have to think long and hard about the job description I would use in the advertisement. The person I want would have to have good typing skills, obviously, and would be good at following instructions and completing set tasks on time. A certain amount of ambition would be essential as would a desire to work from home. I’d love to be in a position where I could offer someone a data entry job but at the moment that is not the case.
Before I consider hiring someone I need to learn how to interview a prospective employee. It would be a nightmare if the individual I interviewed ended up getting the upper hand because I was an inept interviewer. I also don’t have any real management skills. Maybe I should just fly solo in my data entry venture until I gain the confidence required to be someone’s boss. I just like the thought of passing some of my more menial typing jobs onto someone else while I go and have a rest and watch television.
