My Data Entry Career
By Leonard Skinthorpe Jr | July 26, 2008
If data entry is the act of typing a portion of text into a document than I guess you’d call me a data entry guru. Every time I type a word into these blog posts I am committing data entry in the first degree. Would you call it a job? I guess you’d have to. After all, I am getting paid and I am working harder than I ever did in any other position I’ve held before this one. Just because I work from home doesn’t mean I’m not working as hard as the average bricky’s labourer on any building site around the country….or does it?
My data entry career began last year or….was it the year before? I can’t remember. Every day is just blending into the next. I wouldn’t swap my current occupation for any other because it’s easy and I can see the potential for it to pay very well (in the long run). One day I will look back at the effort I’ve put into my enterprise and I will give myself a wry smile. At the end of the day, I’m the only person in the world that I need to impress and, quite frankly, I’m pretty impressed with myself already!
