I just won the employee of the year award where I work. Even though I am my own boss and no one else is employed in my data entry business, I was still surprised and very excited to receive these accolades. It’s always good to be rewarded and have your hard work recognised. Managers should always take the time to acknowledge the efforts of their subordinates. It is good for morale to have employees thinking they are appreciated by their superiors. Most data entry clerks are very gullible and will bend over backwards to accommodate you if you dangle the carrot.
I know for certain that I perform my job to the best of my ability only if my boss shows support and encouragement. There’s no way I’m going to enter data all day for someone who ignores the amount of time and effort I spend improving their standard of living. Working from home gives me the opportunity to stand on the outside and look in at how I manage my data entry business and I tend to treat my employees with the utmost respect as a result. Things may change once I start employing people who aren’t me, though. I’ll keep you posted!
