Working from home should never be looked at as playing a game. There is no winning or losing, and there are no trophies or medals handed out to participants. There are rewards waiting for anyone willing to sacrifice their time and effort, but no crowds of adoring fans to chair you from the field. When I complete a particularly gruelling data entry session and my fingers are sore from typing for seven hours straight, I have been known to do a small victory dance to celebrate my efforts.

If I don’t type at least one blog entry in a day I feel as if I have failed myself in some way, but I’m not letting down a team. If I decide not to work because I’d rather surf the internet then I will. The only person who will suffer will be me. Data entry clerks are human too. We need to relax once and a while. We are not super typing robots that type all day every day. Cut us….we bleed. There’s a lot more to life than making lots of money and working your fingers to the bone. Take a chill pill!
