With all the money floating around the world you’d think they’d be able to scrounge up a bit more pay for typists, wouldn’t you? It doesn’t really have any impact on me but it must be hell for those poor souls who type for a living. Typing is a thankless task at the best of times but when you’re not getting paid what you deserve, I imagine it’s horrible. Being a home-based data entry clerk who works for himself allows me to set my own wages and although I underpay myself sometimes, I’m usually quite fair and reasonable.
I’ve been in situations before where I thought I wasn’t earning the money I should be and I never want to experience that again. I could enter all the data in the world as long as I was remunerated at a rate which was realistic and just. No one likes to think they are not appreciated and nothing says, “I don’t appreciate you,” more than not paying someone the right amount of money. Performing data entry is boring enough without having to do it for next to nothing. Give me a break! Life’s way too short to spend it being somebody else’s whipping boy.
