I wonder how many people are performing data entry around Australia. There must be hundreds of individuals and teams working from home as typists or virtual office clerks. I imagine most of them would be involved in part time jobs while a lucky handful would be typing fulltime. Australia is the best country on Earth to be a home-based data entry operator and I’m not just saying that because I’m an Australian entering data for a living. It would be interesting to learn how each and every one of them found legitimate work on the internet.

I bet I’m the only data entry operator in Australia who makes up his own data to enter. Not only was it a brave move on my part but is was also bold and daring. I’m not one to take a backward step when it comes to matters of employment and when the opportunity to work from home presented itself I grabbed hold of it very tightly with both hands and I haven’t let it go. Everybody has a different approach when it comes to entering data and I’m no exception. There isn’t a data entry operator alive or dead who would argue with that!

The more data I enter the more I feel like a professional data entry operator. I feel sorry for other typists who spend their days and nights scouring the internet for part time online jobs. Some people are starting to think that earning a living and working from home don’t mix. That may sound a little contradicting but you’ll know what I mean when you get to my level. You don’t write 131 blog posts in 131 days and not learn a thing or two about being a home based data entry operator. There are some days I learn things I didn’t even want to know!

I’m pretty fussy when it comes to when and where I’ll work. I don’t want a part time job and I don’t want to be working in the evenings. I don’t want to drive to my place of employment; I want to wake up there. My frustration at not being able to find a legitimate home based job on the internet led me to create my own occupation and I chose being a data entry operator for one very good reason. I can type quickly and accurately so it seemed like the most logical choice I could make at the time. Entering data may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it sure is mine.

Every new day presents me with a whole new wealth of challenges and I feel compelled to overcome them and succeed. The occupation I created for myself allows me to work from home and I’m so proud of myself for building such a sustainable career. The life of a professional data entry operator is full of surprises and opportunities. I’d recommend entering data to anyone willing to listen. All you need are nimble fingers and an overactive imagination and you too could be riding the gravy train all the way to wealthy town.

I don’t understand how someone who has gone to an enormous amount of effort setting up a home based data entry business, could throw it all away for the instant gratification involved in getting a part time job. When you think of all of the clerks stuck in their stuffy offices, typing to the beat of the ticking clock, you have to admire their tenacity and will to succeed. I’m a data entry operator working from home and I love putting in a full days work. I don’t want to clock off four hours after I start. What could I possibly achieve in such a short space of time?

I literally squandered two years of my life fantasising about getting a job on the internet. In the end I created my own data entry position out of nothing, and the rest is history or will be eventually. Legitimate online typing jobs are few and far between but don’t let that stop you from spending hour upon hour scouring the world wide web for the easy way out. I wanted to work from home more than anything else on Earth so I bit the bullet and made my dreams come true. It doesn’t have to be a data entry job either, it could be a job driving a garbage truck.

Everyone knows it’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind. I’m not a woman but I reserve the right to back flip occasionally. I really feel sorry for anyone looking for an internet based job at the moment. Trying to find a part time data entry job must be like looking for a raisin in a bucketful of cricket heads. Sometimes when I’m entering data it feels like I’m trying to push a square peg through a round hole but sometimes it just flows like a river to the sea. Someone asked me recently if I’d prefer to work full time down in the mines or part time as a data entry operator. I smiled coyly and told them the latter appealed more.

I like to know in advance how much time I’ll be spending at work. I don’t want a part time data entry job and I don’t know why anyone would. Everyone has different needs and casual work may very well be appropriate for a certain portion of a population, but for me a full time position is a priority. I have a lot of hobbies and I could easily occupy my time if I had to but I’d prefer to enter data for eight hours a day and spend my free time doing whatever I want when it rolls around.

Take right now for instance. It’s a beautiful spring day here in my part of Australia and it’s actually warm enough to jump in the river (which is just across the road), but I’m sitting in my home office typing like a madman. Data entry is taking over my life even though I’m only doing it part time at the moment. Once I get back into the swing of things I won’t have a moment to myself until some time next year, if I’m lucky! When you choose to work from home you choose to give up a lot of your leisure time. Note to self; what the hell are you doing this for again?

Searching for online jobs is like looking for an ant’s leg in a bag full of dog hair. It’s not easy! I understand that not everyone has the ability to use their imagination as proficiently as me but I still recommend blogging as a way of earning some extra cash. I’d rather be doing data entry from home than anything else in the world at the moment, and that’s saying something (obviously). I mainly work part time in the evening but sometimes I work full time during the day. That’s just the kind of dedicated hero of a man I am when it comes to being Australia’s most handsome data entry clerk.
