Being a blogger is definitely a legitimate profession, isn’t it? Everday for the last 112 days I’ve written an article and published it on this blog. That’s a lot of data entry being performed by one man. I’ve made a commitment to my countless fans that I will provide one riveting expose daily, and I intend to keep my word, no matter how tedious an exercise it is. The fact that I do data entry work from home should be enough to inspire any up and coming young typist to give it a go. What have they got to lose apart from their dignity and self respect?

Sometimes I think I should just forget about trying to maintain my own data entry business. I’ve been working from home and getting sidetracked with other non-work related interests. I have a lot of hobbies and I’m able to occupy my time quite easily, a little too easily sometimes. The benefits of performing data entry from home probably outweigh any negatives but every now and then, like today, I just feel as if it’s not working. Who am I kidding? What else am I going to do? I was born to enter data so I should stop complaining and get on with the job at hand.

It goes without saying that the number of internet based occupations is rising up. Unfortunately, the amount of work available does not go anywhere near matching demand. As more companies base more of their operations in cyber space there will be more opportunities for employment for people interested in data entry jobs and other virtual clerical positions. The demand for such work will also rise right up until finding a legitimate online job is as hard as locating a particular grain of sand in a dirty clothes basket with the light off.

A friend of mine reckons that life is too short to work from home. He says that when you commute to your place of employment it is much easier to separate your work life from your home life. I understand the point he is trying to make but…..I don’t feel a great need to keep my work and home lives apart. I quite enjoy entering data for a living and I’d much rather do it from home than have to drive through traffic for half an hour, there and back, for the privilege of making up the numbers in some crowded office.

If you had the opportunity to work from home legitimately would you take it? I’d strongly advise you to embrace the chance and make the most of any positive employment situation that arises. I was exposed to several home-based business opportunities a few years ago and I was lucky enough to be able to take the bull by horns and grab the ball and run with it. I’ve been entering data constantly ever since and working from home in the serene environs of my own office. That’s something you have to expect when you are one of Australia’s most handsome data entry clerks.

After spending (wasting) several thousand hours looking for work on the internet I only have one question to ask. Where are the jobs? It shouldn’t be this hard to find a data entry position or a job as a virtual assistant. Anyone with any previous clerical or administrative employment experience should be able find a pathway to their new career online, but that is not proving to be the case. I’ve actually given up on ever getting a home based data entry position and that’s why I limit my typing activities to writing articles for this blog.

Apparently there is a magic land where people work from home performing clerical tasks like data entry all day long. They work part time in the evenings, typing to the beats of their healthy, happy hearts. They all have legitimate, online computer jobs and they all earn more money than doctors do in the real world. Meanwhile, back to reality and there are no more positions vacant. The only data entry jobs are the ones where you have to commute to an office in the city. Bugger that! I’m going back to Fantasy Island…

I can type quickly and accurately so I became a self-employed typist. My typing abilities are adequate and improving with each day I spend working from home. I don’t want to be the fastest or the best, I just want to enter data for a living. I stopped trying to find an online data entry position long ago. Finding a legitimate job on the internet is similar to trying to find a small stone in a packet of Coco Pops, just about impossible. If you want to do clerical work from the comfort of your own home you’d be better off just manufacturing your own position from scratch.

When I was searching the internet for an online data entry job I got caught up in an endless whirlpool of wild goose chases and broken promises. Every time I thought I found a site that would provide some answers, I ended up with more questions then I started with. Finding a legitimate data entry job may be more difficult than locating Noah’s ark or the Holy Grail, with your eyes blindfolded and your ankles tied together. The only way I was able to proceed was to use my imagination to come up with the data, so I could enter it and make some money off my own bat.

Looking for legitimate job prospects was utmost on my mind for a six month period about two years ago. If you’ve read any other articles on this blog you’d know that this is a rehash of everything I’ve written previously. I just thought I needed to reiterate and reinforce my position and highlight the importance of the path I’ve chosen. As you know, I am an Australian data entry operator working from home in my own typing business. I type whatever I want and get paid for the pleasure. The data I enter is a product of my imagination and approximately as valuable as gold.
