Employers seem to make things as complicated as possible, targeting the perfect employee when advertising jobs. They want motivated people who are willing to work for nothing, or people who show loyalty but don’t expect any in return. I’m quite happy being my own boss, thank you very much! Why anyone would want to go to a job interview and be judged by someone who has no right to judge is beyond me.

I’m sure if the shoe was on the other foot I’d be able to see the sense in what employer’s are doing when they write unrealistic, expectation-filled job descriptions. If I was looking for someone to help me out in my data entry business I’d like to employ someone who was willing to work long hours for free and not take holidays or sick days. That’s just stupid of course! I’ll just continue residing outside of the square, entering data like a well oiled machine and reaping all of the rewards. It’s my life and I’ll do what I want!

I just had an afternoon sleep. Try doing that if you don’t work from home. I really should’ve been typing this blog post about eight hours ago but better late than never. Creating my own data entry position from scratch was the best thing I ever did. It doesn’t pay really well at the moment but I’m hoping it will one day. The thing I like best is the amount of freedom I have, although I have to be careful not to get caught sleeping on the job. I’d love to be able to employ another data entry operator one day. I just think it would be great to be the boss of someone.

I’d be a good employer. Working conditions would be of the highest standard and everyone would be able to eat as much chocolate as they can. You may end up being a tad overweight but I’d pay above the award rate and take everyone out to lunch at least once a fortnight. Data entry operators all over Australia would be clambering to work for me. I would be known throughout the land as the fairest boss in the country. My little enterprise would have the highest morale and, as a result, the largest amount of data entered.

I’m ready to see my balance rise. I’ve been entering data like a man on a mission and now I want to eat the fruits of my labour. Working from home is like playing at work, you have to be careful not to get caught. I want to start earning more money. If I don’t, it’s hard to imagine my effort has been worth it. I’m not about to give up though. I’m in it for the long haul. I just wish the amount of money I was making was more in proportion with the amount of data I’ve been entering. Then again, it probably is!

The fact of the matter is; I’ve been looking for an easy way out. I mustn’t lose site of reality in the midst of my excitement. Is there a phone number you can ring if data entry has become a problem in your life? Is there is, I need to call it! I get sore eyes from staring into my computer monitor all day and my fingers ache from typing. Performing data entry from home was supposed to be simple and lucrative but I’m working harder than I ever had for very little reward. It doesn’t really matter though. Life goes on regardless!

Whenever I look through the advertised jobs in the local paper lately they all seem to be part time. Data entry positions are hard to find whether you’d prefer to work from home or commute to an office in town. I’m glad I’m not unemployed at the moment. The current climate does not auger well for those adrift from the workforce. If I hadn’t started my own data entry business when I did, I may very well have been lining up in the dole queue or reluctantly accepting a part time job doing something I didn’t want to do.

I like to know in advance how much time I’ll be spending at work. I don’t want a part time data entry job and I don’t know why anyone would. Everyone has different needs and casual work may very well be appropriate for a certain portion of a population, but for me a full time position is a priority. I have a lot of hobbies and I could easily occupy my time if I had to but I’d prefer to enter data for eight hours a day and spend my free time doing whatever I want when it rolls around.

The way you market yourself is very important. The fact that I’m so good looking makes it a bit easier for me but I’ve still got to put in some effort to maintain my position as Australia’s handsomest data entry operator. What is the best way to sell yourself online today? I’m glad you asked. I haven’t got any answers unfortunately but its good to get the question out there. If I was answering an ad for a data entry position I would just use the stock attributes every employer is always looking for. I would say I’m trustworthy, honest and really appealing to the eye.

It doesn’t hurt to talk up your relevant skills either. I would let the employer know how accurately and fast I can type. I would list all of my relevant qualifications and provide evidence supporting my claim to be the best choice for the data entry job. Anyone can be a typist but it takes a certain kind of person to be a great data entry operator. That’s the kind of person I am. I guess you’d call me one of the unsung superheroes of the online typing industry (or not!).

Starting my own home based business was never about being my own boss. It was more about employing the worker within. When I think back I guess there was always a little data entry operator trapped inside me waiting to be released on an unsuspecting world. He made his way into the realms of reality through the tips of my fingers as I typed like a demon on my computer keyboard. Entering data is the most exciting thing a true data entry operator can do. If he says it’s not, don’t believe him. He’s trying to seem cool!

My outer being or human self is just a shell in which my true form resides. Data entry operators are parasites that get under your skin and take over your very soul. If that sounds dramatic you ain’t heard nothing yet. Working from home is a sin. If you mix your family life with your profession you will surely burn in hell. See, I told you it would get more intense. Seriously though, I chose a career in data entry because my skill set demanded I head down that rocky, unforgiving path. What could I do? Leonard only pawn in game of life!

I wish you could walk a mile in my shoes. I wish there were enough typing jobs for everyone who wanted one. I wish I could make more money working from home as a data entry operator than the average lawyer makes in a day in court. Well, there goes my three wishes and not one addresses the whole world peace issue. People seem to be more selfish these days, don’t they? Most data entry operators care only about themselves and worry only about finding the data they need to enter to survive.

Things were much simpler when a person just applied for a position, went for an interview, got the job and started work on Monday. Now everyone wants to work from home and submit their work via the internet. What will the future hold for data entry operators once voice recognition software becomes ultra reliable and more accurate than any typist living or dead? I don’t know and quite frankly……I don’t care. It seems to be getting harder and harder to find any data to enter already. Maybe it’s time for me to start looking for a new job!

A lot of confident, potential employees can seem aggressive to their possible employers. If you sit down at your job interview and say something like, “employ me or else!” the person sitting opposite you, the one you want to be your new boss, may feel intimidated. You probably won’t be hired for the position as a result. You would be better off just acting naturally and if aggressive is your natural style; maybe you should start your own data entry enterprise and start working from home. That way you can be as forceful as you like without putting anyone off.

Most of the data entry operators I have met on my travels have possessed the ability to get in touch with their feminine side. This is great for female typists but men who type are often ashamed of the stigma. Entering data isn’t something anyone should be ashamed of. It’s nothing to be proud of, that’s for sure, but no one should be disgusted with themselves for having a typing job. Men who know their way around a keyboard usually know their way around a woman. Come on girls, try a data entry operator today!

If you have ever tried to search for jobs online you know how frustrating it can be. You get excited when you read the description in the search results but when you navigate to the page in question you find nothing but rubbish. I hate those sites which lure you with promises of earning thousands of dollars a month to work from home in a data entry job, only to disappoint you by making you pay for information. Most people would be wary and refuse to be tricked into spending their hard earned money, but some individuals pay for information which ends up being useless.

I decided to stop looking for work on the internet a long time ago. Data entry jobs are probably the most widely advertised positions online but trying to find a legitimate one is like looking for a pin a large stack of hay. I’m a home-based typist but I had to create my own job from scratch. It’s not as if I saw an advertised position, read the job description and thought, “Wow that sounds like the perfect occupation for me!” I enjoy typing and entering data so I started taking small steps towards achieving my goals. Now I am painting myself in the centre of my own bigger picture.

I haven’t come across any employment opportunities for typists in a while? Not that I’ve been actively searching mind you. It can’t be easy for those dedicated data entry clerks and virtual assistants out there. They spend hours typing every day just to hone their keyboard skills in the hope that, one day, they will find a secure and rewarding career. I learned to type while I was working for an Australian search engine optimisation company a few years ago. One of my duties was to enter data so it was important for me to learn how to touch type.

I may not be the most confident typist entering data today but I am probably one of the best looking male typists in Australia. When I’m reading the classifieds and skimming through the job descriptions for clerical positions, I cringe every time I see data entry listed as a duty. I don’t mind entering data as part of my home based data entry business, but it when it comes to obtaining work in the real world I don’t want to have anything to do with anyone else’s data. They can enter it themselves for all I care.
