I am a data entry operator and I work from home!

I just read an interesting article about data entry jobs in Parramatta. If the author is for real, it would seem that Parramatta based typists are unwilling to share information that could help other job seekers find work in their industry. I guess it would be hard to remain generous when you know how hard it is to find steady employment. You wouldn’t wish unemployment on anyone but you wouldn’t want to risk losing the job you have to somebody else.

If you were looking for a data entry job in Parramatta, I would strongly recommend reading the article. It doesn’t paint a very rosy picture by any stretch of the imagination, but if you’re after a very realistic and honest assessment of the data entry industry in and around Parramatta, its well worth a look. There is a short interview with a data entry operator included in the report. He is able to describe his employment situation in great detail, providing a guide for potential data entry operators in Sydney’s more western suburbs.

I’ve been a YouTube partner for over a month now. I’m not going to say I’m not thrilled about that, but it does throw up some interesting questions. Should I spend less time entering data and more time creating compelling video content? Should I concentrate all of my energy into maximising my earning potential on YouTube? These are interesting times indeed. The main thing, of course, is that whichever way I choose to go, I will still be working from home and being my own boss!

I have enjoyed every minute I’ve spent as a data entry operator but I feel as if I need a change. The YouTube partnership situation is a great opportunity for me to build upon the foundation I’ve started. I now have the potential to earn a lot of money. All I have to do is create a video that goes viral. That’s the hard part. I actually saw a double rainbow the other day and instead of thinking, ‘oh wow, a double rainbow!’ I thought, ‘damn it, it’s already been done.”

I usually write a bit of a rough script for my video clips and I also compose my own songs. The very act of typing out that material is, in fact, data entry. I can’t wait to find out how much money I will earn on YouTube. I love working from home and I really appreciate Google and YouTube giving me the opportunity to do so. I won’t be able to remember life without the internet soon!
