No one has ever described me as a Jack of all trades, and that has never bothered me. My skills are not many and varied by any stretch of the imagination. I learned to type as part of my probation period a few years ago when I got a job with an SEO company in Australia. I wasn’t aware of the opportunities in online data entry work at the time, so I was a bit slow on the upkeep, so to speak. When I did realise that typing for a living was a valid option for me I grabbed it by the scruff of the neck and ran with it.

I’m the first to admit that when duty calls I’m usually the one found asleep in the corner, but some days I surprise even myself. Take today for instance. Most people like to laze about on a Sunday morning but not me. Like a good little data entry operator I was typing away while I ate my breakfast. That’s one of the best things about working from home. I love eating while I work and I love making money without leaving my house. Combining two hobbies and creating a business out of it is a dream come true for me.

I’ve got nothing to hide. My data entry business is a legitimate online enterprise and I’ve got no qualms with having an open book policy. The fact that I’m not trying to sell anything to anyone or promising to reveal any magical secrets of wealth acquisition shows that I’m just a happy-go-lucky guy who likes to type and likes to make money even more. As my dad used to say, “Poor little Leonard never bothers anyone. Just entering data is his idea of having fun. Don’t sit in front of your computer all day. Go outside and play!”

Whether you choose to work from home or not usually comes down to individual lifestyle choices. Not all workers want to be based at home. A lot of people want secure jobs where a boss tells them exactly what tasks need to be performed and when they need to be completed by. There are a handful of folks who have taken the plunge and started their own online business. I am a fulltime data entry operator working from home in my own business. I have hired myself on a casual basis and, up until this point, I have had no problems with me.

I’ve had a great day today. This morning I typed up an article to publish on one of my websites. I like to start working as soon as possible after I’ve woken up. I hate wasting time. Just because I am my own boss doesn’t mean I let myself slacken off. I need my employees to achieve good results every day and seeing as I’m my only employee, I have to put in maximum effort all the time. Nobody who has visited this blog would be surprised to read I’ve been entering data again. I thought if I worked from home I’d be able to take it easy…..but I was wrong!

I don’t work for fun and I’m not a charity case. When I do a job I expect to be paid well for it. I write a blog post and call it a typing job. I type an article for a website and call it data entry work. After I turn my computer off at the end of the day I like to count my pay and if I haven’t earned as much as I expected, I get mad. The next day I make sure that I double my effort and utilise all of my skills to ensure I redeem myself. I usually make amends and surpass my expectations every time. I’m good like that!

Once you’ve made the decision to be your own boss, you need to be strong. Taking responsibility for your own livelihood can be a very daunting task but it’s vital you stay positive and soldier on. Data entry operators are renowned for working relentlessly to achieve their goals and that’s why no one could believe it when I started my own business from home. My friends know me as a laid back kind of guy; void of any work ethic what so ever. They were all laughing from the other side of their faces once they saw me embrace my new employment opportunity successfully.

Every morning I write myself a list of things to achieve in the next 24 hours. I feel it is very important to complete all set tasks before a new day dawns and reveals a whole new cluster of opportunities. I make myself write several articles a day in order to keep my blogs and websites up to date, fresh and vital. If I didn’t do that I would feel as if I’d failed to do my job, and as a proud home-based data entry clerk, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself. My career is very important to me and if I don’t impress myself daily then I may as well not work at all.

It’s Sunday morning and I’m sitting here wondering what the poor people are doing. Meanwhile, I’m chained to my computer, writing for money like a mad data entry operator. Finding a legitimate home-based employment opportunity became an obsession with me until I realised I could make a living by typing from home. Once I became aware of the fact that entering data was as simple as making something up and posting it on a blog as an article, I was set for life (or at least I hope so!).

Once you’ve made a plan it’s very important to stick to it if you want to keep on track. I’ve set myself a goal of posting to this blog at least once a day. In order to maintain that level of consistency I need to draw on all my skills as a data entry operator and type for a few hours every day. It’s as much about discipline as it is about anything else. If you want to work from home and be successful in a home-based business then you have to be willing to make sacrifices and work hard to achieve your goals.
